As a rule, divine services take place in the congregations on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. In addition, divine services are held on all recognised Christian festive days. When the need arises, funeral and wedding services are also arranged.
The sermon itself is based on a textword from the Bible. The word is, however, delivered without the aid of manuscripts. The plain yet solemn liturgy culminates in the congregants praying the Lord's Prayer together, whereafter Absolution and Holy Communion is celebrated.
Apart from the dispensing of the sacraments, members may receive a special blessing in a service on the following occasions: Confirmation, engagement, marriage and wedding anniversaries.
Choral singing and orchestral music enhance the divine services. Visitors are always welcome to attend our divine services as well as any other of the church activities mentioned hereafter.
All members of the New Apostolic Church are entitled to individual pastoral care free of charge. Special attention is given to the ill and handicapped. Pastoral care embraces personal discussion about matters of faith, and about the problems of everyday life, as well as support in adverse circumstances..
