Age old traditions no more


The Sunday morning rush to get home to prepare a warm meal for the family has been a tradition in many homes in Cape Town.

In the congregation of Leiden 1 this tedious activity which at times put tremendous strain on families during economic crisis’s were relieved when together with Shepherd L La Fleur a soup kitchen was piloted in the congregation.
The aim to serve up hot meals to congregants on a weekly basis was scheduled with the list of ingredients needed to make these nutritious meals, put into large pots from Sunday 4 March 2012.
