On Saturday 15 April 2016, the Sunday school children and their teachers of the Rosemoor

Congregation spent the afternoon bringing joy at Phambili House, a shelter for battered woman.

They were warmly welcomed by Mr Holmes who is on the board of the shelter. He took them around and introduced them to those present, explaining the reason for their visit.

The afternoon was filled with much joy as the children played on their recorders and sang with sweet voices. The Easter message was shared with all present regarding the Death and Crucifixion of the dear Lord Jesus Christ.

The coordinator with the help of the teachers prepared a meal for all. The afternoon ended with a Easter egg hunt which included the adults; everyone had an awesome time. The children departed for home, with the teachers feeling uplifted after being able to bring joy over the Easter period to these women. The teachers gave each child a small token for their sacrifices - chocolates and sweets.
