A dynamic group of seniors from Forest Hill

A boisterous feeling of dynamism was evident when the senior members and ministers and their wives of the congregation of Forest Hill set their sights on their destination for the weekend, Assegaai Lodge on Saturday 19 November 2011.

The lodge, situated just outside Alexandria, is about 135Km east of Port Elizabeth. It was there where they set up camp, soon to be joined by their fellow seniors from Grahamstown and Alexandria districts. They together made their way to the Port Alfred golf club where lunch was served. As the day progressed they prepared themselves for the divine service which commence at 18:00, conducted by District Elder A Jattiem. One would have thought the long drive would tire the group but after the service they could be seen seated around the dinner table playing games while singing along to the tunes playing in the background. The Sunday morning dawned and brought with it much insight when a medical doctor joined them and answered questions and concerns pertaining to their health. This insight further kicked start the excitement in the group who later that day made their way back home,  also looking forward to the next planned event for them.
