The ministerial body and their helpmates of the greater Port Elizabeth area were overjoyed with the news that District Apostle Barnes had diarised a divine service for them on Sunday 28 February 2010.
Much preparation went into making this an unforgettable week-end, which commenced on the Saturday with a mass production of traditional songs of praise and dance presented by the choir members from the Motherwell, KwaZakhele and KwaNobuhle districts. This was greatly appreciated by the predominantly Xhosa speaking audience who were also dressed in traditional attire. The following day the District Apostle held the divine service in the congregation of Arcadia. Approximately 1,380 ministers and their wives gathered in the church hall for a feast prepared specifically for them. The reading done by Sister Xoliswa Njamela from the book of Matthew 17 in the New International Bible, added a special dimension to this blissful hour. The week-end as a whole uplifted the spirits of the ministers who serve God’s children as their hearts were filled abundantly with joy.
