A number of people tend to lock themselves away on Friday the 13th because of the superstition that is associated with this day.
This superstition dates back to the 13th century . . . really now! The young members of the Voorbrug District made a complete mockery of this superstition on the evening of Friday 13 March 2009. This group of approximately 150 had great fun on the evening which had been planned for some time. They came geared in their costumes and creative make up and the feeling of being in a dark alley brought laughter, cheering and screaming.
