Domestic tourists in the Klein Karoo

SENIOR MEMBERS TRIP (2) 38845 senior members from Voorbrug district departed from Voorbrug congregation at 07:00 on Thursday 24 September 2009 for a four day expedition to the Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn and various other locations along the scenic Garden Route. Upon arrival the domestic tourists were booked into a local hotel where they had one hour at their disposal before the event organizers got them to their feet as they were about to embark on a adventure of a lifetime. This included crawling through a tunnel just more than 30cm in height in the Cango caves, meeting some of the peculiar animals on the African continent at the Wild Life farm, and exploring the vast beauty of the Wilderness.
The highlight of the weekend for them was the divine service in the congregation of Bridgton, which was conducted by District Elder T Wagenaar of Voorbrug district. After the divine service they spent precious moments of fellowship with the members of Bridgton congregation who wished them well for their return journey to Cape Town later that day.
After a hearty meal they went to their rooms to pack their luggage, not forgetting the many souvenirs that were bought in remembrance of all the sights they visited. After a six hour long drive they arrived safely back in the Mother City on Sunday 27 September 2009.
