The weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May 2010 promised to be a joyous one for the music team of East London District who met at the congregation of Oxford Street for a Music Workshop.

Under the leadership of Priest H De Vos, Deacon C Davids and Brother J Lakey, the first day of the workshop was devoted to orchestra leaders and organist. There, they were reminded of their spiritual responsibility in preparing the way for the divine service.
After the Sunday divine service, some 70 choir members from the surrounding congregations in the district congregated at the congregation of Buffalo Flats where they participated in what served as practical exercises, demonstrations and evaluations for the workshop attendees. The workshop was concluded on an energetic note with the majestic rendition of The Heavens are telling composed by Hayden.
