Mbobo and Mayisela congregations are two mission congregations situated on the Lesotho border.
The roads here are rocky and steep and cars are still a thing of the future. Bishop A Nel, accompanied by District Elder W von Schaefer visited these congregations on Sunday 7 June 2009 for a morning divine service.
They were met with smiles and friendly greetings from deacons and brothers on horseback as they were driving through to the church. Because of the location of and the distance to these congregations they only get to see their bishop approximately once every two years. So, this was really a festive divine service for the congregants in this area and they were all very happy to pose for a photograph with their bishop.
The waving was however not so cheerful when the time came for the bishop and district elder to make their way back home.
