Shepherd P Adams conducted the first Sunday school service for the children of Elsies River congregation on Sunday 8 February 2009.
Invited to this service were all the members of the congregation. The new theme for Thanksgiving 2009 –Recycle for Life – was introduced and the children were taught of the importance of saving the planet by, for example, not littering. Furthermore they were told that they could play a part in reducing global warming by recycling, reducing and re-using those things that are normally wasted.
