The congregation of Oranjemund is situated at the northern most border of the Orange River in Southern Namibia. The brothers and sisters there have been adopted by Goodwood congregation as its sister congregation. With the objective of strengthening the bonds between families in the respective congregations a trip has been arranged to visit Oranjemund. To assist in the raising of funds for this trip scheduled to take place during December 2009 various fellowships and fundraisers were arranged.

On Saturday 7 November 2009 the congregation of Goodwood showed their support at the fundraiser where an array of activities were prepared to entertain young and old. A variety of stalls ranging from fruit and vegetables to clothing and books were all in one area. Parents could also shop in the knowledge that their children were having fun with face painting and hair colouring but one of the activities to entertain them. The day was a huge success, especially with parents who were spared a trip to the shopping mall. Excited about their pending trip the members prepare to take love and well wishes to all from the congregation of Goodwood.
