At last, blessings for all! |
The members of the congregation of Scottsdene generated a tremendous amount of positivity with their excitement for the visit of Chief Apostle Leber to Cape Town for the feast of Pentecost.
This positivity overflowed into the surrounding neighbourhood when a 1.2m X 5m banner proudly displaying the Pentecost message and photograph of the Chief Apostle, was raised on the exterior of the church. The joy experienced by the members was further heightened with the visit of Apostles Rotmi, Udoh and Simon to their congregation on Wednesday 19 May 2010 for a divine service which was followed with a fellowship hosted by the rectors and their wives of the district. This gave the Apostles an opportunity to capture the essence of the culture of Cape Town. On Friday 21 May 2010 the congregants’ faith was strengthened when they united in fellowship during the final leg of their preparations for the day of Pentecost. The chill of winter was kept at bay with hot soup and rooster bread. During the course of the evening the rector, Shepherd S Bogenhagen, challenged them to a round of Noot vir noot. The members basked in the blessings outpoured during the divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber on Sunday 23 May 2010 when they joined millions of member all across the globe via audio visual transmission.
