At the request of District Evangelist Isaacs and District Elder Smit... a Music Academy was started in the Welgelegen District late last year. The main objective was to equip the members in this area with improved technical music skills.

Since then, classes were held every Saturday morning for an hour. The result of this initiative was that two students from the group of 20 that had started last year, graduated in March from their Grade 1 Music Theory class. Another group wrote their exam early last month and these results are still awaited.

These classes are still in progress every Saturday at 09:00 in the Welgelegen Church hall. All who are interested are welcome to join.
