With longing hearts the congregation awaited the visit of District Apostle N Barnes to Villiersdorp on Wednesday 6 May 2009. The expectation of the congregants was evident in the fact that by 17:30 some members were already seated. Isaiah 12:2-3 served a basis for this divine service and in his teaching, the District Apostle encouraged the congregation to stay at the fountain of grace, and to participate in the fountain of Holy Communion and forgiveness. Apostles A Kriel and M Arendse together with Bishop A Hans served along. At the conclusion of the divine service, while the choir was singing the closing hymn, there was a blackout, but this did not influence the singing on bit. A blessed hour of worship in the Lord’s house was experienced by all.
