For several weeks the congregation of Dunrobin-Bellville prepared for the visit of Apostle M Diedricks...  who would be visiting them on Sunday 14 June 2009. The congregation rounded off the natural preparations with an “Autumn Cleaning” on the Saturday before the service was to take place. Attention to detail was the order of the day, as young and old found common ground in cleaning and fellowship. On a cold and wet Sunday morning the members of Dunrobin, guests and visitors totaling some 740 arrived to welcome their Apostle, and witness the Holy Sealing of 3 adults and 8 children. Much to their delight and amazement, the District Apostle made a surprise appearance in Dunrobin. Despite being on leave, he had decided to conduct the divine service there. He was accompanied by Apostle J Stephens. The text the District Apostle used was recorded in Psalm 40, a portion of verse 10. The theme of the sermon was: Declare God’s faithfulness and love. The Apostles Stephens and Diedricks were called upon to share their thoughts on this topic with the congregation. The choir and orchestra provided the most beautiful of frameworks for the divine message as they helped to create a joyful and festive atmosphere in the congregation. After the divine service members and guests alike were in no hurry to leave as they shared their feelings of spiritual bliss with one another. The cold and wet conditions outside of the church were in sharp contrast to the warmth of gratitude within the souls of all present.
