The Good news and the great news

On the evening of Wednesday 24 June 2009 District Apostle N Barnes served in Bothasig. In delivering the Good news the District Apostle used a text word taken from the gospel according to Matthew 13: 44. He was accompanied by the Apostles J Stephens and C van der Merwe, the Bishop P Kilian and all the district leaders of the Kensington Bishop Area.
The congregation was reminded of the importance of waiting on the return of the Lord and of the importance of having the appropriate heart’s attitude during the period of waiting. The members here were also reminded to wrestle for the Lord’s blessing, just as Jacob had.
The great news for this congregation was the announcement of the intention to build a new church building on De Grendel farm.
After the divine service, all confirmands from the class of 2008, confirmed this year, posed for a picture with him.
