gathered in Manenberg church hall on the evening of Wednesday 22 July 2009. 
As the basis for this divine service the District Apostle read out a text word taken from Philippians 2:13 and this reminded the congregation to always seek the Lord’s good-pleasure. In expanding on the divine teaching, District Apostle Barnes referred to the three men who were thrown into the fiery furnace.  
Accompanying the District Apostle were Apostles B de Vries and M Diedricks, the Bishops R Hardick, A Lutuli and K Schoeman and all the district ministers and rectors of Manenberg District.
