Bishop P Kilian conducted a divine service in the congregation of Avondale on Sunday 20 December 2009.

During this divine service the congregants bore witness to the Golden wedding anniversary blessing being bestowed upon a union of 50 years.
Millicent and Frank Mansfield joined each other on the same path on Saturday 26 December 1959. A match made in heaven - this was the feeling of their fellow congregants, some of whom also witnessed their Silver wedding anniversary blessing in the very same congregation.
