A love that stood the test of time

Apostle Cecil van der Merwe conducted a divine service in the congregation of Maitland on Thanksgiving Day Sunday 4 October 2009. During this divine service there was an additional reason for thankfulness as the apostle bestowed the Diamond wedding anniversary blessing on the Van Niekerk couple. Sixty years ago on Wednesday 4 October 1949 Freddy and Zagryjia promised to love and care for one another until the end of time and on Thanksgiving Day their union of six decades was blessed in the midst of their loved ones and the congregation that had gathered.
