Angelic voices bring comfort |
Tragedy struck the community of Pacaltsdorp when a fishing trawler capsized near the coast of Mossel Bay taking the lives of four fishermen.
The community and family deeply mourned this tragic loss. The Sunday school children of the Pacaltsdorp district visited the homes of the deceased fishermen where they showed their love and support in this time of bereavement by singing a few hymns and handing over bouquets of flowers. The angelic voices of the children’s choir brought about peace and tranquility in the hearts of those who listened and for this reason they requested that the children’s choir sing at the funeral service of their loved ones on Saturday 7 November 2009. After the funeral service the members of Hansmoeskraal congregation invited the bereaved families to the divine service on Sunday 8 November 2009 in their congregation. This invitation was accepted they were welcomed with open arms and experienced the love and warmth of the fellowship in the congregation where words of strength and comfort were offered to them. They in turn expressed their gratitude for being welcomed into the congregation and being remembered them in this time of sadness.
