The preparation for Pentecost 2010 has stepped into top gear on Saturday 13 February 2010. 

Marking the 100 days countdown to this momentous event in Cape Town during May 2010, thousands of members from congregations throughout the Cape district church took to the streets, sport fields, beaches, and open spaces to participate in a Friendship Walk Around the World. This fun activity was aimed at covering a minimum distance equal to the circumference of the earth. The event was also linked to a charity drive.
Initial report indicates that there was great excitement among the members at making the event a day to remember. Young and old enthusiastically pitted their fitness levels against the enormous challenge at hand. It has been reported that a 94 year sister added some mileage to this event.
