A cruise on the Breede River

The senior members of Parow Park congregation were in for a real treat when their previous rector, retired Shepherd B Kleinschmidt planned a trip to the Viljoensdrift Wine estate. A Their planned day trip took place on a sunny Saturday 28 November 2009. The seniors enjoyed the magnificent beauty of the Breede Valley that lead them to Viljoen Wine Estate.

The group had a wonderful day with a picnic on a boat whilst traveling along the Breede River. After and exciting trip on open waters they arrived at a local bed and breakfast establishment where the inviting aroma of a snoek braai lured them to the tables. With smiles the seniors discussed the strategy of their previous rector in arranging such an exciting trip knowing that he would be part of the group at that stage.
