A divine service for confirmands, their teachers and ministers was conducted by Apostle G Mintoor on Sunday 15 March 2009.
Following an hour of divine teaching, the Apostle gave a few informational presentations to the confirmands and these contained the profiles of Chief Apostle W Leber, District Apostle N Barnes, and District Apostle Helpers J Fendt (USA), A Mhango (Malawi) and M Woll (Canada). The Apostle’s presentation was rounded off with advice and guidelines on how to prepare for confirmation both naturally and spiritually. As part of their participation the confirmands shared experiences of faith, read out letters written to the Apostle and some to the Chief Apostle and then rendered musical items. After all of these activities in the church the Apostle, accompanied by some youth members and ministers, visited Kalie Bosene who was paralyzed 2 years ago in an accident in which 6 other children were killed in the northern area of Port Elizabeth. This accident made news headlines nationally.
