Busy Saturday in Prince Albert

busy_saturday_1For the first time in 2009 the Silversands district had a group of volunteer workers travelling to the area of Prince Albert – an area they assist in the development of the Church.
This took place on the week-end of Saturday 21 March to Sunday 22 March 2009. Upon their arrival at Prince Albert congregation, this group found the brothers and sisters busy in the foyer preparing breakfast for them. After breakfast the very same foyer turned into a health information center as the visitors unveiled that which they had brought from Cape Town for the seniors of the area. While some were busy teaching the seniors about health care, others gathered the Sunday school teachers for a briefing on the Recycle for Life project. The ministers in the group left for soul-care visits in the homes of the members. Later in the day, the ministers arrived back at the church where they all sat down for lunch after which the visiting brothers held a seminar for deacons. Thereafter they all joined in a choir practice, which was followed by church cleaning.
