The Sunday school children of Vasco district joined 250 children from BADISA, No Limits and Elsies River Advise Centre when they arrived by bus at the Goodwood Rugby Club on Saturday 5 December 2009. This arrangement was made so that the children could have a day of fun and adventure. The organizing committee was determined to ensure that every child present experienced the happiest day of his/her life.

When the gates to the stadium opened at 10:00 the crowd was greeted by excited peer facilitators and officials cheering them on to enter the amusement park which they had recreated especially for them. With a slip and slide, bounce ball, jumping castle and many competitions to participate in there was more than enough activities to make each child shine with excitement.

Father Christmas made his grand appearance on a fire truck but to their dismay the truck couldn’t enter the field. That’s when he called his little helpers and requested them to help him distribute the many toys he had brought for the special children who gathered on the field that day.
