Cool To Care

Saturday 5 December 2009 turned out to be a significant day in the lives of both the members of the Ruyterwacht congregation and the less fortunate families who reside in the surrounding area. These families were invited to spend a day in the care of the members of the congregation who had arranged fun-filled activities for them.

On arrival the guests were welcomed by the inviting aroma of delicious potjiekos and whole snoek roasting on the coals. After enjoying the tasty meal that had especially been prepared for them, they engaged in interactive games including tug-of-war, sack races as well as the jumping castle for the little ones. Special experiences live in the hearts of the members who demonstrated that they were able to make a difference by sharing and caring.
