The youth from Retreat Bishop Area took recycling to a whole new level when they launched the recycle a bear project in May 2009.

With the overwhelming support of the Sunday school children and the rest of the congregations the youth were able to compile more teddy bears than they bargained for.
On Saturday 15 August 2009 Bishop Nathan Warner and the youth from Retreat Bishop Area arrived at Masiphumelele High school. Bishop Warner addressed the excited young crowd as they waited with excitement to get their hands on the fury friends who were longing for a new owner. The youth sang a few hymns with the children and watched them play with their new friends. It warmed the hearts of both the young and old to see the joy and gratitude expressed on the faces of the children.
