The youth from Silvertown district were joined by District Evangelist T Adams and Shepherd R Hendricks on Sunday 18 July 2010 when they, in honour of former President N Mandela, pledged 67 minutes of their day to improve someone else’s life.

They did this by brightening the day of the senior members who reside at Kendrige Old Age Home in Thornton, with song and delicious fruit parcels to tantalise their tastes buds. Together with the senior group the youth sang the birthday song for Shepherd R Hendricks and one of the youth brothers who celebrate their birthdays on the day.
