Lance Geldeblom was counting down the days to his Confirmation when he was involved in a major accident that caused       him to miss his confirmation on Sunday 12 April 2009.

This led to Lance being confirmed on Sunday 14 June 2009 by District Elder M van der Hoven in Hazendal congregation. Lance’s confirmation classmates from the previous year dressed up in their black and white outfits and sat with him for the duration of the divine service. Lance then stood in front of the altar and said his confirmation vow with the congregation as witnesses. This was also the last confirmation to be conducted by District Elder Van der Hoven as he will be retiring on Sunday 19 July 2009.
