From quiet countryside to bustling city

SDC10543Sutherland is renowned for being the coldest town in the country. When the members from there heard of a planned visit to the sunny city of Cape Town they jumped at the chance to soak up the sun.
On Sunday 11 October 2009 the group from Sutherland attended the morning divine service in Silvertown congregation. After the divine service they were given a guided of the building and could also witness first hand how the church hall was being transformed into an auditorium where concerts and other musical activities are performed. In order for this transformation to take place the altar is moved to a secure location under the platform and all of this happens with the push of button.
The morning’s activities were rounded off with snacks and fellowship with the local congregants.
