Knole Park has reason to celebrate

KP13The sound of the Sunday school children’s singing rang clearly as they welcomed Apostle J Stephens to the congregation of Knole Park on Sunday 18 November 2009. One could feel the excitement that lived in the hearts of God’s children at the commencement of the divine service.

During the service the Apostle shared words of encouragement and enlightenment with the congregation in their striving for worthiness on the day of Christ’s return. Before Holy Communion was celebrated 28 souls were sealed with the Holy Spirit. During the course of the service there were also retirements and ordinations. Priests R Freswick and R Brown, as well as Deacons P Davids and H van Schalkwyk were placed into well-deserved retirement, while one priest and two deacons were ordained.

After the festive divine hour the congregation present wished the retired ministers well in the time of rest that lies ahead of them. The Apostle added to the already eventful day by dedicating the newly renovated recreation hall with a cutting of the ribbon ceremony. This was followed by fellowship in the congregation’s new hall.
