It was a trip which would see them just 10km’s short of Swakopmund when the youth from Walvisbay embarked on an outing of extreme enjoyable activities.

On Saturday 2 July 2011 the Youth of Walvis Bay district gathered at the congregation of Narraville with a sole purpose in mind; to make a special preparation for the following day’s Service for the Departed.  No sooner had they arrived when the brooms, dusters and mops came out to clean the church hall in order for the members to enjoy the Word and Sacrament in a pleasant environment. Having completed the Narraville hall, they felt that they wanted to do some more, and made their way to the congregation of Walvis Bay to do the same. After the day’s fervent cleaning, the Youth enjoyed some fellowship together with their priest and coordinator before making their way home, tired, yet happily looking forward to partake in the blessings the following day.

The Sunday school children of the congregation of Okahandja weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, in fact they insisted on it when they commenced work on their organic garden during the months of August and September 2010.
