When a visit to Beaufort West was announced in Somerset West district, the call to spread the joy of Christmas was heard by all. This resulted in generous donations being made towards the compilations of food hampers.

The ministers and their wives from Somerset West district arrived in Beaufort West on Saturday 19 December 2009 with gifts that were sure to bring cheer to the members of the area. On Sunday 20 December 2009 the families from the congregations of Keimoes, Kenhardt and Brandvlei were asked to remain behind as there was a special treat prepared for them. This came in the form of food hampers which was a visible expression of love from Somerset West district.
