The new theme is launched |
 The Sunday school children and teachers of Strand South congregation on Saturday 7 February 2009 came together to clean the church building in preparation for the first Sunday school service for 2009.
They not only cleaned the building, but also prepared it for the launch of the Thanksgiving Theme 2009: Recycle for life. Everything from old newspapers, to posters and items made from recycled material was used to preach the message of recycling. The opening Sunday school service the next day – to which the parents and adult members of the congregation were also invited – was an interactive experience. The successful launch of the new theme was as a result of preparation that had been well done. .
