Apostle Arendse paves the way |
|
On Sunday 14 June 2009, in what could be deemed as history in the making, Apostle M Arendse conducted the first ever divine service in Lwandle.
As the basis for this divine service he used a text word taken out of Matthew 11:28-29. The Apostle reminded the congregation to keep joy in their hearts and always strive to sit at the feet of Jesus – just like Mary.
The Apostle asked Community Evangelist M Litshi to serve the congregation further in Xhosa. During the course of the service the Apostle dispensed the gift of the Holy Spirit on 11 souls who were prepared for Holy Sealing.
After the divine service a short program prepared by the youth and Sunday school children was presented to all present. This included the explanation of the Church’s mission and vision statements. This was followed by a rendition of some traditional hymns.
