A festive day in Cloetesville

cloeteslwandle 022Galatians 6:9 served as the basis for the sermon of the divine service conducted by Apostle M Arendse in Cloetesville on Sunday 14 June 2009.
He advised the congregants to preserve peace in their hearts “for what is within our hearts will emanate radiantly from our faces.” During the course of this service 12 souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit. In commission of the District Apostle, Apostle Arendse served the departed souls and District Evangelist S. Mansfield and Shepherd F. Bucchianeri stood on their behalf.

To round the proceedings of this really festive day off, the Sunday school children after service entertained the congregation to singing that touched the hearts of all present. This was followed by the handing out of a trophy to the congregation which had the best overall performance on the Recycle for life drive. Idas Valley took the trophy for the month of May. Other categories that also received rewards were the best recorder attendance and the best music attendance; these were scooped by the Rustenberg and Beverly Hills congregations respectively.

At the end of the awards ceremony the Apostle was given a voucher for 250 gift packs to give to the children on Beaufort West. The Apostle thanked the children for this kind gift on behalf of the youngsters of Beaufort West.
