Time to assess progress

The district and bishop area Sunday school coordinators of the Cape District Church met for the final time this year to assess the progress that had been made in this aspect of the work.

This meeting took place at the Belhar College on Saturday 31 October 2009.

A highlighted success was the Recycle for Life theme, which equipped the minds of both young and old with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions on the impact we as humans have on our environment. This became evident from the outcome of every planned activity that served to clean up the environment by exercising the motto: recycle, reuse and reduce.

Just before the conclusion of the afternoon session Bishop C van Wyk paid the group a surprise visit. He thanked the teachers for their tireless efforts and for educating the young minds of the children. He pointed out how their dedicated efforts helped to complete the Lord’s work by nurturing the young and fostering fellowship with the leaders of tomorrow.
