For the Sunday school children from Strand, Stellenbosch and Somerset West districts, Sunday 30 May 2010, was truly an historic day in their lives.

They, together with their Sunday school teachers and ministerial body, made their way to Strand Town Hall where they waited for the commencement of the divine service on their day, the Day of the Child.
On this momentous occasion District Apostle Helper M Woll from Canada served the congregation of young souls.
The hall was abuzz with excitement which was followed by the melodious sounds of angels in song.
During the days leading up to the event the children took part in various outreach programmes and were able to bring joy to the frail and lonely when they visited senior citizens and children’s homes.
On the day, in true Capetonian style, the children greeted the District Apostle Helper M Woll, who was joined by the resident Apostle M Arendse, with song and dance. The children filled the hall with angelic songs which they rendered after the divine service. The day will live on for long in their hearts and minds.
