The winter school programme hosted by the Sunday school team of the congregation of Beverley Park kept the children of the area more than happy during the school holidays during  which the FIFA World Cup in Cape Town took place.

The programme, which commenced on Tuesday 15 June and ran up until Thursday 1 July 2010, saw the children visit the local library, given safety tips from the South African Police Force as well as them participating in fun filled educational activities ranging from arts and crafts to the invention of new games. For many of the children the highlight of their days together came in the form of a surprise visit from Apostle A Kriel. This was a wonderful experience for them, with some of the little ones commenting “he even has his church clothes on”, such was the happiness and joy of the children who felt the love the Apostle has for them.
