| This little light of mine . . . |

This formed part of a special programme, which was prepared by the Religious Instruction three class of the congregation. After the divine service the group paid tribute to the many victims of the disease, many of whom are unknown to them and walk this dark road alone. That day they paid tribute to the plight of these individuals with a moment of silence and the reciting of the poem: The Four Candles. The children also transferred the knowledge they had gained about the pandemic by depicting their understanding of HIV/AIDS in a play called, What Does HIV/AIDS mean? Together with the members present the commemoration of AIDS Awareness Day was rounded off with a powerful message contained in the song, This little light of mine.
