For the visit of Apostle W Diedericks to the Hex River district the congregations of La Gratitude and De Doorns combined for a special festive divine service. Approximately 540 souls gathered in the De Doorns church where they could receive spiritual food for their souls. The Act of Holy Sealing also took place during the course of the service and 11 souls received the mark of the Lamb. Then, to the benefit of the work in the area, 10 deacons and four priests were ordained.
After the conclusion of the divine service the newly confirmed youth of 2009 posed to capture a photographic memory with the Apostle and district ministries. They were also given a group photograph as a memento of their gathering with the Chief Apostle in Tafelsig earlier in the year.
