A bloody Saturday in Upington
On Saturday 19 July 2008, the young members of Sunrise congregation in Upington were involved in a blood donation project. This group, led by Apostle M Arendse, completed and signed donor forms to confirm their intention to help their fellowman by donating blood. The South African National Blood Service has throughout the year been on a campaign to encourage as many people as possible to donate blood.
Going back to the roots
Following an invitation to the three Isaacs sisters to attend the Youth Convention 2008, these siblings expressed their wish to be baptized and sealed in the Church. This desire was expressed through a letter that was forwarded to the rector of Rosedale congregation in Upington. Unknown to these siblings was the fact that their mother is a New Apostolic Christian who had left the faith 23years ago.
On Sunday 22 June 2008 Bishop A Hans baptized them in Rosedale Upington.
On this very same day, Brother Afrikaner was adopted into the faith after a 22 year old marriage to a New Apostolic sister. This adoption was also officiated by Bishop A Hans.

On a mission
A trio consisting of Community Evangelist J Hanslo and Priests V Johnson and J Swartbooi left on a mission trip to Frazerberg on Saturday 19 April 2008. After five hours on the road this group arrived at their destination where they were welcomed with open arms by Priest V Hendricks of Beaufort West.
After a light breakfast they immediately started soul care visits in various family homes. They also visited the Vis family who live 45 kilometers outside of the town. The brothers and sisters they visited were very thankful for this contact, which served as an encouragement and as a blessing.
On the Sunday the trio were together for a divine service in the Fraserberg congregation, which was attended by 30 members including 11 guests.
