Learning from the best
The past weekend has had a sequence of blessed events for the young people of the New Apostolic Church Cape, especially in the light of the fact that some of them even had a personal interaction with the Chief Apostle on Tuesday 19 February 2008.
At 11:00 on the said day the tertiary students got to meet with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber and the visiting apostles accompanying him, in the Silvertown Auditorium. In his opening address the Chief Apostle Leber told the students about the experiences of his life as a student and how he managed to get through it all.
The floor was then opened for question-time and some interesting questions were posed of the Chief Apostle and the visiting apostles accompanying him. Among others, the Chief Apostle was asked how he cope with peer pressure while he was a student and to this he answered that when he had to answer the question “What shall I do”, he always decided to let the Spirit guide him and then did what was awakened in his heart.
The Chief Apostle further encouraged the young brothers and sisters to speak to their bearers of blessing and to always ensure through their behaviour that the heavenly Father is with them. In conclusion, Chief Apostle Leber said, “I wish you much, much success in whatever you do. Please be active in the work of the Lord and always listen to what the Lord says.”
